Dr. Zhijing Xu received his B.S and M.S in Electronics Engineering in Wuhan University and BJ University of Aeronautics & Astronautics, and got his PhD degree in Syracrese University of U.S.. Dr. Xu has ever undertaken research work in some top international institutions, such as Ministry of Astronautics Industry of China, New York Institute for Advanced Study of Computer Science and Software Engineering, U.S. Northeast Parallel Processing Research Center, Bell Laboratories and so on.

 Dr. Xu has rich research experience in the field of GIS, GPS, Wireless Communication Systems, Imaging Science, Computer Vision, Pattern Recognition and Software Engineering. He has achieved some important international research results and rewards.

 In 1993, as a leader, he organized and developed the international first-class production of intelligent graphical information and image understanding system. The developed result was regarded as the world-class application technology by authoritative international organizations AM/FM/GIS and was appraised as one of the three outstanding technologies in American and Europe.

In the February of 1999, Dr. Xu led and organized the development of the mobile satellite multimedia application system, which was in the international advanced level, and filled the domestic blank.
