Hang Lei

Biography:

Prof. Hang Lei is currently the dean of the School of Computer Science & Engineering at UESTC, China.

In 1982, Prof. Lei received his bachelor's degree from Chengdu University of Science and Technology. From 1982 to 1985, he taught at Sichuan Institute of Light Industry and Chemical Technology. Prof. Lei received his Master and Ph. D degrees both from University of Electronic Science and Technology of China, in 1988 and 1997 respectively.

Prof. Lei is also the head of Embedded Real Time Computing Laboratory and the committee member of CCF Severe Environment Computer (Military Computer) Special Committee.

He has ever participated in compiling and publishing the 10th five years National Defense Programme materials "The Introduction of Embedded Operating System and Application", and compiled the "Modern Processor System and Hyper Transport for graduate student " as an editor-in-chief.

He held the 9th five years Military Pre-research Fund Project: "The Research for the Time-out Failure Analysis of Real-time Software and the Models of Reliability Evaluation", the 9th five years Pre-research Project: "The Reliability Testing Evaluation System for Real-time and Concurrent Software", "Ultramicro Nanokernel Embedded Real-time Operating System", and the 10th five years Pre-research Project: "Highly Reliable Embedded Real-time Operating System". Prof. Lei has also received the third prize of National Defense Science and Technology Award.

In recent years, Prof. Lei has been responsible for and accomplished the 863 Important National Software Specific Projects "PDA Oriented Embedded Linux Software Operating Platform", and the Horizontal Tasks "Flight Space IIPACS Integrated Information Presentation System", "High Dependability Embedded Software Architecture", "Engine Parameter Combined Displays and Controller Design", "Airborne Fuel Management Embedded Computer System", etc.

At present, the main research fields for Prof. Lei is software reliability testing and evaluation technology, hardware and software in real-time system and so on.
