Biography: 

Shengjie Zhao is a Professor at Tongji University, Shanghai, China, a Fellow of Thousand Talents Program of China(TTPC), a Senior Member of IEEE and a member of the Alcatel-Lucent Technical Academy . Before he joined Tongji University, he was a research scientist at Bell Labs China, Alcatel-Lucent, in Shanghai. In previous postings he conducted research at Wireless Open Innovation Laboratory-Bell Labs, Lucent Technologies, Whippany, New Jersey, USA; and China Aerospace Science and Industry Corporation, Beijing, China. He holds a B.S. degree in electrical engineering from the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC), Hefei, China; a M.S. degree in signal processing from the China Aerospace Institute, Beijing, China; and a Ph.D. degree in electrical and computer engineering from Texas A&M University, College Station, Texas, USA. Dr. Zhao has published 50+ papers in IEEE journals and international conference and workshop proceedings on topics in video transmission over wireless channels, MIMO techniques, OFDM systems, and CDMA systems. He has filed 22 patents in the USA and China and has submitted many proposals to wireless communication standards organizations such as 3GPP LTE, 3GPP LTE Advanced, and WiMAX. His current research interests include wireless communications, wireless video, big data, and signal processing. He serves as a reviewer for many IEEE journals and international conference and workshop proceedings. Dr. Zhao serves as several principal investigators of the 4th topic of network big data of the National Basic Research Program of China (973 Program), TD-LTE-Advanced system research and development of the Science & Technology Specific Projects of China, and the New Theory and Methodology for Super-Scale Highly-Dynamic Deep Space Communications of the National Science Foundation of China. Dr. Zhao is an Editor of ICT Journal of TTPC.
